From the very beginning, it was my vision to create bold and graphic images from our natural world and print them at a startlingly large size. I knew that when these pieces were created at sizes much surpassing their normal scale, they would transform into something completely new.

The "Big" Lava Flower shown here was my first experiment with these grand scale pieces. Normal archival print papers aren't available in sizes this big.

After much experimentation, I had this printed directly on artist canvas with unique printer designed for outdoor billboards. Amazingly, this too is archival, since 3M guarantees this process for over 10 years in direct sunlight.
